Children’s Ministry is wholly focused around teaching our children the truth of who God is and why we follow Him. We do this through Biblically sound teaching, building relationships, and having fun. Our goal is to partner with parents to grow this next generation into fully devoted followers of Christ.
Our Youth Group meets on Wednesday nights in the gym at 6:30 p.m., Sunday mornings for Sunday school at 10:00 a.m., and Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m during the spring and fall. Come on out and see what we are about!
LIFE Ladies’ Group exists to help women grow in their relationships with Christ, grow in their relationships with each other, and fulfill Mount Airy Wesleyan’s Mission of “helping seekers become devoted followers of Christ.”
Circle of Compassion
The Circle of Compassion is a ladies’ group that meets the first Thursday of every month. Their mission is to enhance the church’s mission of ministering to the community by providing meals and/or spiritual and emotional support to shut-ins and to those who are sick, grieving, and poor in spirit. They also assist in providing care, kindness, and support in visitation. They show compassion in the community by taking meals to emergency responders, schools, and those in nursing homes.
Senior Adult Ministry
Our Senior Adult Ministry focuses on making and growing disciples and helping believers find their place in ministry. Our older adults seek to live the Christian life in such a way as to glorify our Savior and help usher in the next generation of Christians.
The Prayer Ministry is one of the most important ministries at MAWC. The Prayer team meets before services to pray for God’s leading during the services and to give open hearts and ears to the Word. They also pray for needs in the church, community, and nation.
We are a church committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with people everywhere. We provide support for missionaries throughout the world. We are also involved in outreach in our local community through our Fall Fest, Soup Kitchen (where we also distribute food from our Food Pantry), and Wesleyan Cruise-Ins. We seek to share the love of Jesus Christ through these ministries.
Cheerfulness comes easily when we can sing praises and worship the One who has given us the gift of hope through Jesus, our Savior. Our Choir enjoys lighthearted fellowship during our weekly practices.
Worship Ministry is a ministry focused on leading our congregation into a time of God-centered worship every week. There are praise teams in both of our Sunday morning worship services.
Sunday School is a great time of learning and Bible study, but it is more than that. It is also a great place to build relationships. Join us for our Fellowship Breakfast at 9:30 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 10:00 am. You will find our adult Sunday School classes have a wide age range in each class. We welcome all newcomers!
