Chocolate Delight Cake
Part (1)
2 sticks butter softened 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese softened 2- (1 lb) boxes of powdered sugar
1/4 cup warm water 1- (4 oz) pkg German Sweet Chocolate 1 tsp vanilla In large mixing bowl combine: butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar- blend until fluffy.
In sauce pan add water, German Chocolate (dissolve over warm heat). Pour melted chocolate over creamed mixture, add vanilla. Mix until light & fluffy. - Take out 3 cups, use for frosting.
Part (2)
1/2 stick of butter
2-1/4 cups of flour
3 eggs
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
Add butter and remaining cheese mixture- cream until well blended.
Add eggs one at a time, mix well.
Sift flour, soda, salt and add to creamed mixture, and alternate with buttermilk begin and end with flour.
Pour into (3) 9 inch greased & floured pans. Bake @ 350 for 25 minutes or until done. Cool cake then frost.
